Finding the Hero Within You | Gabi Laszinger

Finding the Hero Within You | Gabi Laszinger

We are all born with a hero inside of us. We are all complete people capable of handling setbacks, getting back up after a heartbreak, weathering financial stressors, and making our dreams come true.

But, sometimes, we can misplace our hero and lose sight of our strong, competent, powerful selves. When these moments come, we must remember that it is temporary as our hero is always there to help us through the struggles we face. You can find the hero within you and become the person you were meant to be. Nurture the power you already have and create the life you want each and every day.

Embrace Self-Compassion

It can be easy to be compassionate towards others. We can see that they are trying, but when we make a mistake, we often hold ourselves to a much higher standard and punish ourselves unduly. To tap into your hero during difficult times, forgive yourself and move forward. We are all human. We all make mistakes. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt and make self-compassion part of your daily routine. Just like all of the people around you, you are trying your best with what you have available.

Grow Your Strength by Creating a Space of Solitude

We have busy schedules and a lot of responsibilities, but it is essential to nurture yourself with some quiet, reflective time every day. When you reserve space for yourself, you can stay in touch with your hero. Solitude allows you to hold space for yourself. During this time, you can listen wholeheartedly to the pain, stress, and frustration inside of you that continues cropping up. You can gently offer yourself advice, rather than criticisms. Learning to slow down and focus on your inner strength can bring you closer to the life you envision.

Talk to the Hero Inside of You

When you wake up in the morning, stand in front of a mirror, and talk to your inner hero aloud. Ask your hero how you can support them, what their presence feels like, and which situations lead to immense feelings of power. When you discuss your successes and setbacks with your inner
hero, you can get insight into your strength.

Finding your inner hero takes patience, love, and practice. You can empower yourself every day and build the future you want.
